All right, let’s jump straight into it. Yeah, setting up a company LinkedIn page is pretty simple. Now it’s been a while since I actually set one up because you know, generally people have them when they work with us and I set mine up years ago, but I know they are fairly simple and we’ll work through this quickly together.
So you just click on the work tab over here and head over to create a company page. It’s pretty simple. You just need to work through the wizard. Which is all fairly self explanatory, and then once we get through that, I’ll go through some of the things that you need to make sure are on your company page, and what the actual benefits of the company page are, and what we really need it to do for us.
So, company, company name, example, company, so that’s already taken, so we’ll call it 1, 2, 3, 3, 2, 1. Hopefully that’s not taken. Website. Example. com. Industry. This is so this is how LinkedIn knows what industry that your company or your account is a part of. You’re actually entering it in here. So let’s say manufacturing, 2 10 employees, public company, and logo, tagline.
Best example ever and verify, create page. And it’s literally that simple. So once you’ve created the page, what you’ll want to do as well on your LinkedIn actual profile is connect your experience to that account. If you haven’t set one up before. So for you, if you haven’t set up an account, it’ll probably just have a blank image similar to this.
Cause I never had a when I was the manager owner of Cabana Pedro Branca, I didn’t set up an account page, but it was in my past. If you want to create an account for that and then link it to that account page, you’ll need to edit and you’ll need to, let’s as an example, go here, click on edit, and then you try and link it to example.
Now, in the past, this hasn’t always come up. Example company, it may be one of these. If sometimes it doesn’t actually come up and you actually have to create a new. A new lot of experience and then linked to the page and still sometimes it doesn’t come up instantly as well. In which case you sometimes need to contact LinkedIn support, but for the most part, it’s pretty smooth sailing.
So once you’re in here the two main things, the one, I’ll say the one main thing that you really need to make sure you have here. Is your link to your website for the most part, I found that the LinkedIn company page. Yeah, it’s, it’s a good way to build followers, but I found most of that really lives in your actual LinkedIn personal profile, but where it’s really valuable is it often acts as the portal to your website.
People tend to check out the company page. And then just click on visit website and to learn more about it on the website and see if it’s legit. Make sure there even is a website because that’s kind of your first point of check when you’re seeing if someone’s legitimate. So you can add a location, description, grow followers, so you can invite people.
This is my company. There are many like it, but this is mine. Page info buttons. This is where you want to say. button name visit website and then you add your website in that’s probably the most important thing you want to make sure that there’s A very easy link to your website That’s now set up and I don’t want to post you can’t post and then you click view as a member And you can see example company best example ever about and says visit website Which will take you to the website when people click on it, and that’s what you want.
So A little description. That is the bare minimum that you need. One more thing I’d probably suggest is getting a background image here too. Easy enough to get on platforms like Fiverr. For like 5, 10 bucks you’d be able to get a graphic designer to put something together for you. Yeah, 15 bucks, 7 bucks, why would you bother?
I mean, if you’re good at design, do it yourself. Otherwise, just have a look through Fiverr and get someone to do it for you. All right, I think I made it in five minutes. So as you can see, it’s pretty straightforward. Key thing is a short info short description and make sure there’s a link to your website.
Obviously, make sure your website’s set up and it looks sharp and looks good, but it’s really a portal to your website. Have the logo, short description, and that’s all you need. I mean, you can focus on building followers and stuff like that later, but to get started. Just have the page set up and link it to your website.
Your web, then focus on getting your website right. Because that’s the main thing people are going to be looking at. Whether they, when they’re going to decide whether or not they trust you. Hope that’s helpful. Quick guide setting up your company page. Any questions, put them down below. And as always Ryan Caswell from b2bleads.com. Have a great day. Cheers.
